Sir Chuka Nnabuife |
The greatest mistake a government
will make is to appoint somebody from a failed organisation which cannot pay
its workers for upward of 18months. Such appointee must certainly look
famished, hungry and ever willing to make up for the lost months especially
coming from a poor background, this is the case of Gov Obiano's appointment in
one of the parastatals in Anambra state. ostareze.com advices that HE should investigate his appointees
now, for they seem to operate as untouchables.
The staff and management of Anambra Newspapers and printing Cooperation (National Light) have cried out against the misappropriation and injustice perpetuated by their Managing Director, Sir Chuka Nnabuife. It was observed that Nnabuife who hails from Ihiala in Anambra State assumed office a year ago with the recommendation of the former commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr Tony Onyima.
Information has it that Tony Onyima mandated the Former M.D, Sir Obi Nwude to proceed on compulsory retirement so as to give way for Chuka to assume office. Reports coming to ostareze.com have it that Nnabuife, since he assumed office has committed all kinds of misappropriation, injustice and subjection of all staff to civil slavery.
From our investigation, Chuka Nnabuife allotted to himself N
547, 634.34 as his monthly salary from the office aside the official salary the
state government pays him monthly.
Reports from anonymous sources have it that he claimed it was Governor Willie Obiano who assigned such amount to him as he told the management.
Early this year, it was researched that the Ministry of Information approved for him the sum of N 1,200,000 for repayment of one end of pare-meter fence destroyed by rain.
Presenting the figure to his management team, it was alleged that he claimed that it was N 800,000 that was approved for a project that ordinarily couldn't have consumed N300, 000.
Proceeding on our investigations, ostareze.com observed that he has allegedly turned the staff of the cooperation into slaves especially those who are in editorial and computer sections.
